“I am not good at…” or “I’m awesome at…” theme

and Working Mommy Wednesday brought to you by:

Working Mommy Wednesday was a tough one for me to write this week! Looking at the theme, I realized that I can easily write out the “I’m not good at” list and I had a much harder time thinking about the things “I am awesome at.”

It is interesting how easy we go to the negative when so many positive aspects should be acknowledged as we think about who we are, what we do and how we do it, especially as working moms.

So… here goes!

I’m awesome at:

Setting aside time for my kiddies and hubby.

~  Being on time (actually 5-10 minutes early is the norm).

Following up with people… I really try not to leave someone waiting!

Looking at the positive in different situations. Sometimes it takes focus and practice for me, too.

Getting silly with the kiddies—dancing, singing, tickling and laughing. All awesome stuff!

Project management and being organized at work. I “try” to do the same at home. “Try” being the operative word!

Saying “hello” to strangers and giving a smile. Most times, I get a smile in return. Funny how it works that way…

Finding “me time” with a friend or solo. It’s a great stress reducer.

Focusing on the task at hand whether it’s at work or home.

Managing the working mom schedule… it’s not always pretty or without stress as we all know but I am doing a fabulous job, if I do say so myself!

Take time to jot down your “awesomeness” and see what you come up with… What a wonderful way to think about all the great things you do. I’m really glad I did it!

What are you awesome at?

Thanks for sharing your awesomeness with the blogosphere!! :)

I enjoyed writing my WMW post today too! Like you, I preferred not to dwell (too much) on the negative aspects of my persona! Identifying our strengths is far more energising!! :)

I like that you chose only the positve prompt for today. I also rock at being on time (early).

isn’t it easier to do the “i’m bad at” list??? but it’s so good to focus on what we ARE good at!!! great post Steph!!!
